The mega day of IPL 2018 era has come to an end and there are dollars raining overseas as well as in India too. 49 Indian players were successfully bought by the respective franchises of the team along with 29 overseas players including Ben Stokes(12.5 Crores), Chris Woakes(7.4 Crores), Glenn Maxwell(9 Crores) etc. 51 capped and 27 uncapped players with a total of 321.10 Crores spent on day 1of IPL Auction 2018.
“Ben Stokes is the costliest player of IPL Auction 2018 (Day 1)”
All franchisers along with the fans club of the team enjoyed the auction day and welcomed the different players under their banner. All the franchisers were happy with the auction done and their participation pointing to the fun to the fans club which they are going to have during IPL matches. As we were saying that the marquee players will be auctioned first and that was done too but the franchiser put their money on the players according to their stats and the advice by their mentor and coaches without considering the name and fame of any of them, as a result, Gautam Gambhir was sold for Rs. 2.8 Crores, Yuvraj Singh for Rs. 2 Crores etc. and the day of auction comes to an end with Ben Stokes as the costliest buy for Rajasthan Royals.
There was a lot of expectation and charm for watching the bidding of Chris Gayle, Hashim Amla etc. but many of the players like them remain unsold and left with a chance that they may come tomorrow in the IPL Auction 2018 and may surprise us with their bid prices. IPL Auction 2018 was looking like an ocean today and the eight franchises were like an island in the ocean which were allotted the place while giving money for production on that land like performing well with the chance given.
