INDIA team captain VIRAT KOHLI swagged former team INDIA captain MAHENDRA SINGH DHONI in the INDIAN PREMIER LEAGUE auction and was capped with the costliest player of IPL 2018 with the amount of 17 crores while M.S. DHONI bagged a contract with CHENNAI SUPER KINGS again with an amount of 15 crores. Let me remember you that a team can retain up to five players from their squad of the last season and following is the list of the team and team players retained by the teams in their squad for IPL 2018.

Meanwhile, the cost that an owner spends for the retention of the squad for the new season is Rs 15 crore for player 1, Rs 11 crore for player 2 and Rs 7 crore for player 3. For two player retention, it is Rs 12.5 crore for player 1and Rs 8.5 crore for player 2. For one player retention, it has been deduced to Rs 12.5 crore.  Swagged for VIRAT KOHLI and his retention cost was Rs 17 crore as his league fee irrespective of the rule for the retention of the squad.
